How Does the ServiceOne New Installation Process Work?
Say you are a residential homeowner who is looking to build a new addition or sunroom. You want the new room to be a functioning, liveable space year-round, but that would require the space to have a heating and cooling solution. Unfortunately, the addition doesn’t have any ductwork, so your current furnace and air conditioner can’t heat or cool the space.
You give ServiceOne a call because you are considering a ductless mini-split, but are unsure what options are out there and at what price points. ServiceOne sends a Comfort Advisor out to your home, free of charge, to perform a load calculation on the space. Then, based on the results, our Comfort Advisor presents you with a select number of ductless mini-splits that fit your budget, comfort, and efficiency goals.
Let’s say you selected to finance a Mitsubishi ductless mini-split through ServiceOne with monthly payments that are affordable and non-intrusive to your budget. Our ServiceOne Install Department will work closely with you to schedule and coordinate your new installation. On the day of the install, our licensed, bonded, and insured install technicians will equip your new addition, up to code, with the Mitsubishi ductless mini-split that you selected. Before our installers leave, they will ensure your new installation is heating and cooling correctly and help walk you through the system controls.
How Does the ServiceOne Replacement Process Work?
In this scenario, you, as the homeowner have an 18-year-old air conditioner that is out of warranty. You had your annual maintenance done, like you do every year, only to find out that the compressor needs replacement. A thorough conversation with your service technician leaves you with a couple of options.
One of the options is to replace the compressor, which is a significant component within the air conditioner, and hope that your 18-year-old air conditioner doesn’t present any more issues. The technician explains that replacing a compressor is expensive, but still cheaper than replacing the entire air conditioner.
The other option is to have ServiceOne send out a Comfort Advisor, free of charge, to perform a load calculation on the entire home. After the load calculation, the Comfort Advisor would present a selected number of new air conditioners that would fit your budget, comfort, and efficiency goals.
You tell the technician you would like first to discuss your options with your spouse. Later that evening, you talk with your spouse, and you both decide that it wouldn’t hurt to have the Comfort Advisor come to your home to discuss potential replacement options. Your spouse is worried that your current air conditioner may break again, incurring more costs.
The Comfort Advisor comes out to your home and performs the load calculation, as promised. Afterward, the Comfort Advisor presents you with your options, one of which is the new Daikin Fit compact side-discharge air conditioner. You may be unfamiliar with the name Daikin, but you may be interested in the Fit because you could have it installed on your patio, and it’s ultra-quiet and super-efficient. Our Comfort Advisor talks to you about Daikin, informing you that it is the number one air conditioning company in the world with high-quality products sold in over 140 countries. Not only that, but ServiceOne and Daikin offer 12-year parts, 12-year labor, and 12-year replacement warranties on the Daikin Fit. You have made your decision.
Our ServiceOne Install Department will work closely with you to schedule and coordinate your replacement installation. On the day of the install, our licensed, bonded, and insured install technicians will remove your old equipment and begin installing your replacement system. Before our installers leave, they will ensure every part of the install is up to code, functioning correctly, and ready to deliver the comfort and lifestyle upgrade you deserve.
