Daikin Ductless Model Home

Most of us go to great lengths to make our house a home: personalizing our flooring, countertops, lighting, and even cabinet ware. But there is one place in the home where Americans have traditionally lacked options: in-home comfort. For over 100 years, our “options” have been one-size-fits-all, with virtually zero customization.

Not anymore.

In 2020, ServiceOne partnered with Mercury Builders on an innovative model home and used Daikin Ductless systems to showcase what’s possible when it comes to personalized heating and cooling options. Imagine creating a comfortable ecosystem, with room-to-room climate control at your fingertips. You could eliminate hot and cold spots throughout your home, turn off zones that are not in use, and save money on your utility bills.

Comfort

Comfort

To create 7 unique comfort zones, our model home used two Daikin AURORA Multi-Zone Heating & Cooling Systems. Ensuring year-round comfort, homeowners can select a desirable temperature for each space and maintain it – even when it dips down to -13°F outside.

Efficiency

Efficiency

AURORA Multi-Zone Heating & Cooling Systems were purpose-built to withstand extreme weather conditions while maintaining excellent energy efficiency ratings. Since Daikin systems incorporate Inverter variable-speed technology, they typically reduce energy consumption by at least 30% (compared to traditional fixed-speed ducted systems).

What's Saving 30% Look Like?
Improved Indoor Air Quality

Improved Indoor Air Quality

Return-and-supply ducts can leak air, trap chemical odors, dust, and lower a system’s overall efficiency. What’s more, air that’s forced through ductwork is loud, and nobody wants to pay to have their ductwork cleaned. Ductless systems not only avoid these hassles, they clean air better than central air conditioners.

Departing from the traditional fixed-speed ducted systems, the Daikin Ductless model home has 7 air filtration points. With ductless, the outdoor air filters before reaching each zone, dramatically improving indoor air quality.

Particularly for homeowners in hot and humid climates – like Nebraska and Iowa – an inverter system can offer more consistency in indoor humidity levels through continually dehumidifying the home to balance the heat load.
